I would like to take this opportunity, as Division Commander to welcome all of you to the CAN DO Division of the Middle Chesapeake. Our primary mission as Auxiliarists is to Support the Coast Guard, especially in all aspects of the Recreational Boating Safety. We do this in many ways including Public Education (to our Boating Public), Member Training (for our members), Vessel Examinations, and on-the-water Safety Patrols. These patrols include major events, such as graduation day at the Naval Academy featuring the Blue Angels, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Swim and the Volvo Challenge Sailing race. The Areas that we cover vary, but include, in essence, from Annapolis to the Rod & Reel at Chesapeake Beach, across to Tilghman Island and north past Bloody Point Light. An important thing to remember is that we are all volunteers. We do what we can, when we can. We represent the U.S. Coast Guard, and when in the Uniform, we wear it correctly, with Pride.
We have many opportunities for our existing membership and for new members.

Please feel free to contact me or members of my staff for further information: William (Bill) Ormsby, Division Commander - 301-482-1233 - Windy323@verizon.net
